Chiropractic Care

Chiropractic care is a holistic approach to health that focuses on proper skeletal alignment, posture, biomechanics, and nervous system function to promote overall well-being.

Which Techniques Do We Use?

  • Full Spine Adjustment – Manual spinal adjustments by hand.

  • Thompson Drop Technique (Drop Table) – Utilizes drop pieces on the chiropractic table for adjustments.

  • Activator Method – A handheld instrument that delivers precise, gentle adjustments.

  • Extremity Adjustments – Joint adjustments for the arms and legs.

  • Physiotherapy – Includes ultrasound, electric muscle stimulation, stretching, exercises, and targeted muscle therapy (spot massage).

What to expect in your initial session?

An initial chiropractic session typically involves the following steps:

  1. Patient History & Consultation – The chiropractor will ask about your medical history, current symptoms, lifestyle, and any specific concerns you have. They may ask about past injuries, chronic conditions, or factors that aggravate or relieve your pain.

  2. Physical Examination – This includes a posture analysis, range of motion tests, muscle strength assessments, and spinal alignment checks. The chiropractor may also perform orthopedic and neurological tests to assess nerve function and muscle reflexes.

  3. Diagnostic Testing (If Needed) – In some cases, X-rays or other imaging studies may be recommended to get a clearer picture of your spine and musculoskeletal structure.

  4. Discussion of Findings – The chiropractor will explain their assessment, discuss possible causes of your discomfort, and outline a recommended treatment plan. They will also inform you of any risks and expected outcomes.

  5. Initial Adjustment or Treatment – If deemed appropriate, the chiropractor may perform a spinal adjustment or other manual therapy techniques. This could include spinal manipulation, mobilization, soft tissue therapy, or stretching exercises.

  6. Post-Treatment Guidance – You may receive advice on posture, exercises, or lifestyle modifications to support your recovery and prevent future issues. Some patients may experience mild soreness after the first adjustment.

  7. Follow-Up Plan – Depending on your condition, the chiropractor may recommend a treatment schedule and discuss how to monitor progress.
